Material math

One kit. Up to 35 feet of usable material.

Each kit ships with 5 segments. Leave them wide and short, or stretch them narrow and long. Either way, you get more coverage than a fixed-width roll.

Better than a fixed roll

A typical fixed-width sleeve gives you one length and one width. X1Fiber gives you both: keep the full width for large sockets, or stretch the same segments for longer, narrower layups. One SKU covers more patients and leaves less waste on the bench.

Fabricator notes

How to lay it up

Under 250 lb

4 segments · 8 layers. Two-stage lamination: 4 layers per stage.

Lightweight / dynamic

Minimum 3 segments · 6 layers total.

Over 250 lb

5+ segments with reinforcement at distal end, connection points, M/L, A/P.

Bast fiber absorbs resin uniformly — don't over-stretch the sleeve or under-saturate the layup. Optional reinforcement (fiberglass, aramid, carbon) at strategic points is supported; keep synthetic reinforcements away from trim lines. After cure, a standard heat gun softens the matrix for on-the-spot fit adjustments — no re-cast, no re-lamination.
